Athlete Equipment Specified by APCC 2017 (Conventional Bow)
Ⅳ For the Conventional Bow Division the following items are permitted:
4.1 Conventional bow is one body bow without bow window and clear mark of arrow rest but free from protrusion part, sight mark, blemishes and laminate piece. It is not allow to install sight window, arrow rest, draw check device, stabilizers and similar assistant device. Unbraced bow including permitted accessory must pass through the hole or ring inside diameter r+/_ 0.5mm.
4.1.1 Multi-colored bow risers and trademarks located on the inside of the upper limb and lower limb are permitted.
4.2 The number of the string is not limited.
4.2.1 The string can use different color and material. It may have a center serving to accommodate the drawing fingers, a nocking point to which may be added serving to fit the arrow nock as necessary, and, to locate this point, one or two nock locators may be positioned. At each end of the bowstring there is a loop which is placed in the string nocks of the bow when braced. In addition, you can stall a connection as kisser or nose bead on the string. The bowstring shall not in any way assist aiming through the use of a peephole, marking, or any other means.
4.3 No arrow rest may be used.
4.3.1 The arrow of conventional bow is put on the hand of bracing bow, and the clear mark of nock point on the bow is not permitted.
4.4 No draw check device may be used.
4.5 Face and string walking is permitted.
4.6 An arrow consists of a shaft with a point, nocks, fletching and if desired, cresting. The maximum diameter of the arrow shaft exceeds 9.3 mm (arrow wraps shall not be considered as part of this limitation as long they do not extend further than 22 cm toward the point of the arrow when measured from the throat – nock hole where the string sits-of the nock to the end of the wrap); The points for these arrows may have the maximum diameter of 9.4 mm. All arrows of every athlete shall be marked with the athlete’s name or initial on the shaft. All arrows used in any end shall be identical and shall carry the same pattern, colors of fletching, nocks and cresting.
4.7 Finger protection in the form of finger stalls or tips, gloves, or shooting tab or tape, to draw and release the string is permit.
4.8 Field glasses, telescopes and other visual aids may be used for spotting arrows.
4.8.1 Provided they do not represent any obstruction to other athletes.
4.8.2 Scopes shall be adjustable so the highest portion of the scope is no higher than the armpit of the athlete.
4.8.3 Prescription spectacles, shooting spectacles and sunglasses may be used. None of these may be fitted with micro-hole lenses, micro glasses, or similar device, nor may they be marked in any way that can assist in aiming.
4.9 Accessories are permitted:
4.9.1 Including arm guard, chest protector, bow sling and belt or ground quiver. Foot markers may not protrude more than 1cm from the ground. Devices to raise a foot or part thereof, attached or independent of the shoe, are permitted provided that the devices do not present an obstruction to other athlete at the shooting line position or protrude more than 2cm past the footprint of the shoe. Arrow box is not allowed to install on the bow.
ⅤUnpermitted equipment in all kinds of event
5.1 Any electric or electronic devices on the equipment.
5.2 In the front of shooting line of practice field and any time during the event, athletes are not permitted to use any electronic device including phone, earphone and silencer device.
5.3 In the round without distance mark, it is not allow to measure in any measures.
5.4 It is not permitted to incorporate any component to help estimate distance or angle.
5.5 Except for sight mark of athlete, individual result record or Word Archery Association rules, it is not permitted to use any device to calculate angle and distance.
Ⅵ APCC Archery Field, It Is Not Permitted to Use Any Electronic Device Except for the Requirement of Committee
